Children with HIV / AIDS

The UN estimates that there are over 12,000 HIV+ children in Thailand.

We support two homes for HIV+ children, Father Mike's Orphanage in Nong Khai, and the Camillian Centre in Rayong.

Health

The Camillian Centre is a small orphanage for 40 HIV+ children orphaned by AIDS. All of these children were born HIV positive, and all need daily medication to stay healthy.

It costs £38.50 a week for the Anti-Retro Viral Drugs to keep an HIV+ child healthy. Please click here to give a child their life-saving medicine.

Education

Almost all of the children now attend school. School brings normality, friends, and a social life as well as education and training. A new centre has been built to provide a more independent lifestyle for older children.

It costs only £15 to buy school books for ten children. Please make a donation here.

Hope for the future

One child at the Centre, at 18, is the longest surviving HIV+ baby born in South East Asia. Even with the best medication available we cannot guarantee that these children will have long, much less healthy, lives. But we can ensure that they enjoy a proper childhood and are well-equipped to live the life they have to the full.

Sponsoring a child at the Camillian Centre costs £15 a month. Your support can help give these children a childhood and hope for the future.
